This project involved a new design research
process developed to understand everyday
human experiences.
It introduces a Taxonomy of Experience (ToE)
as the main research tool, around which 9
steps in the process were undertaken through
3 stages.
Experiences are complex, comprising of many
different contextual factors and types of
internal experience (Somatic, Affective &
Cognitive), as simplified in the diagram:

the designer to gain a deep understanding
of a particular experience. For this project,
